Awaken your\ncreat ivity and create trip souvenirs that you will treasure. In this 5-day\nint ensive\, learn how to capture a travel scene or still life in ink and\nPri smacolor. Each 3-hour class will start with a slide show in the Museum\ncl assroom\, then go outside to sketch\, and end with a group critique back i n\nthe Museum classroom. The inspiration for our travel drawings will be\n Jim’s good friend and artist\, Bill Fain.

Using an image as your\n inspiration\, recreate a favorite landscape using fiber and fabric to crea te\na collaged piece. Using stitching techniques to secure the fabric\, ad ding\ntexture and intricate designs to bring your collage to life. Finish your\npiece by mounting onto a wooden frame\, creating a one-of-a-kind wor k of\nartwork. No experience necessary-just bring your creativity.

Learn\nh ow to create a drypoint print on plexiglass in this 3.5 hour workshop.\nAr tist Willow Wells will guide you through each step of the process from\ntr ansferring the image onto the plexiglass to using etching needles to\nengr ave the surface to create lines and tones to form burrs that hold the\nink and produce rich\, textured prints. Discover the proper techniques for\ns oaking and drying paper\, inking your plate\, and wiping to highlight the\ nwhites and bring out the depth of your image. Add a unique touch of color \nby using different colored inks to bring vibrancy to your final prints.< /p>\n

the human experience.

\nRebecca Schultz is a multi-disciplinary artist living in\nElkins Park\, PA. Recent group exhibitions include With\nWater at Swale House (NYC)\, We Are All Compost at Big Ramp Gallery and\nWANDERING: Observations of Our Watershed at Fairmount Water W orks\n(Philadelphia)\, and We Are the River at Stockton University (New Je rsey).\nRebecca’s public artworks include two community murals and sever al\ncommunity-engaged projects with Mural Arts Philadelphia\; site-specifi c\ninstallations in public parks and gardens throughout the Philadelphia\n region\; and Water Table\, an installation created in Atlantic City with\n Nancy Agati for the Coastal Climate Resiliency Art Project. She has\ncolla borated with scientists and environmental educators\, including with\nthe Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership and Riverfront North\nPartn ership in the Philadelphia region\, the Hubbard Brook Experimental\nForest in New Hampshire\, and the Blue Oak Ranch Reserve in California.\nRebecca holds a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design\, an MA\nin Co mmunity-Based Arts Education from San Francisco State University\, and\nan MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from the Confluence program at the\nUniversi ty of New Mexico.
